History:
Taking it on the Road
Following the release of “Tales of a Yellow Heart” in 1997, Shannon continued to tour across Canada and worked more formally with MGP Music Intl. The company obtained distribution for the Shannon Lyon catalogue through Page Music Distribution.
All three Swallow Records/MGP recordings were re-released on the MGP Music/Page Music Distribution label. The new record was promoted to radio across Canada, and shopped also to members of the world-wide recording industry.

March 1999: The Shannon Lyon Pop Explosion at Arlene Grocery, New York City, NY
In March of 1999, Shannon Lyon and his then 3-piece band traveled to New York City for their first ever performance in the city, a showcase event at Arlene Grocery, attended by several music industry invitees.
Later that year, with no larger distribution or recording deals on the horizon, MGP Music and Shannon Lyon mutually agreed to go their separate ways and pursue other projects.
